Google Ads.

There has been some “vocalization” about the Google Ads on the site so I figured I would take a few minutes to explain.

I personally would love to not have any adds on the site, however as this site dose cost money to operate I have to recoup those costs somehow. Although we do get a few small donations here and there they are not enough to pay the bills. The money generated via the google ads dose allow me to not only pay the bills but invest back into the site to make things bigger and better.

With the holidays upon us those ads can generate much more revenue. This is why for the holiday season there will be a few extra ads on the site. They will be removed after the season has run its course. The money generated during this time is going directly into a new version of the site that will have user functions and better options for collecting gifts. So look forward to those changes sometime next year (2014)

In closing I completely understand the annoyance of the ads on the site, but they are for the greater good.
